Spartan Media Production
Building a professional media brand and website in one week
The Problem
Spartan Media Productions was launching as a new media initiative under UNCG leadership, but it lacked a clear brand identity, website, and digital presence.
The goal was to create a professional, client-facing brand and website that could serve the Triad community while giving students paid, real-world media experience all within a very short timeline.
My Role
UX & Brand Designer
Led discovery, brand identity, logo design, content structure, and website build for the launch of Spartan Media Productions.
The Process
The process provided us with a swift and structured method, enabling us to transition from a state of confusion to taking action within a week.
I was able to keep choices moving without losing quality by putting discovery first, centralizing communication, and working in tight feedback loops.
Quickly agreed on goals, audience, and positioning during a targeted discovery session
I used Teams and a shared Trello board to create a single, unified source of truth that the client could access and use to sustain progress.
We utilized targeted surveys and stakeholder feedback to establish the brand's direction at an early stage.
Reviewed ideas multiple times, narrowing down choices to minimize decision fatigue.
Constructed and enhanced the website concurrently with the brand development to ensure timely completion.
Led the client through the last encounter to make sure they understood and felt positive about it.
The Outcome
A brand identity and logo system that work together.
A fully functional website was launched within a week.
A clear structure for the content that will evolve with the program.
A new Instagram account makes it possible to have a social presence.
